Our aim is to bring together useful and interesting information about Holbrook, its facilities and the wide range of events and groups that help to make this a thriving community.

The next full Council Meeting will be on Monday 20th May 2024 at 7.30 p.m. in the Village Hall.   

The Parish Council has a working group called Greener Holbrook, Greener World.  The group are working on ways to raise awareness of how we can become more eco friendly and help reduce the effects of climate change.  Check out the GHGW page on this website and feel free to join the group at its monthly meetings, usually held on the 2nd Monday in each month.  The nest meeting of GHGW will be on 13th May 2024 at 7 p.m. at the Methodist Chapel.

The Neighbourhood Plan was adopted by referendum and will influence future planning applications.  The vision for the Neighbourhood Plan is to seek to ensure that the Parish of Holbrook grows sustainably in the future, maintaining its vibrant community, protecting the Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB), wildlife, biodiversity and improving the infrastructure, while retaining its rural characteristics for generations to come.

Babergh District Council - parking charges press release

Babergh District Council cabinet has agreed to end subsidising free parking in Sudbury, Hadleigh and Lavenham by six votes to two – after it was warned the authority is "on the edge of an economic precipice".
