Vision:

Through fact-based investigations, public consultations, and housing needs assessment, we seek to ensure that the Parish of Holbrook grows sustainably in the future, maintaining its vibrant community, protecting the Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB), wildlife, biodiversity and improving the infrastructure, while retaining its rural characteristics for generations to come.

Objectives:

                1.            Balance housing, recreation, and the environment sustainably.

                2.            Conserve and enhance our unique character and landscape.

                3.            Respect and protect AONB, heritage, and nature conservation assets.

                4.            Provide the right homes in the right places that meet community needs.

                5.            Support rural employment and consider supporting infrastructure.

Key Policy Areas:

                1.            Focus any new housing development within Settlement Boundaries.

                2.            Prioritise housing mix, including affordable homes.

                3.            Support infill development within boundaries that respect AONB and character.

                4.            Preserve important views and dark skies.

                5.            Protect woodlands and heritage assets.

                6.            Promote sustainable drainage and biodiversity.

                7.            Preserve local green spaces for community benefit.
